Check your product page against the eight things EU law asks of it
It is free, and the listing screen comes back without an email address. Every line names the article behind it, and the date the entry it rests on was last checked.
Check my product — free
Paste the product's public listing URL. We check which of the eight obligations are visibly met — free, while you wait — a screen of the public words, not a safety assessment.

What to paste
The public page for one product — your shop, a marketplace listing, a retailer's page. Paste the product page, not the shop home or a collection. The check reads what that page says and nothing else. If the ingredient list is on the pack but not on the page, or the page builds its text in the browser and the list is not in the HTML, the check will say it could not see one. A page with more than one ingredient list is not screened: that would be choosing a product you did not name. That is a fact about the listing, not a verdict on the product.
What the listing can show
Two rows, each visible on the listing or not visible on the listing:
- Is a responsible person's name and address shown? Art. 4(1) requires a designated person in the Union. A listing can show the name and address Art. 19(1)(a) requires on the pack — that is what this row reports.
- Does the pack carry the other mandatory particulars? Art. 19(1)(b)–(g): content, durability or PAO, precautions, batch, function, ingredient list.
The rest live in the file, not on a listing: whether it is a cosmetic (Art. 2(1)(a)), a signed safety report (Art. 10 / Annex I), a Product Information File (Art. 11(1)), and the notification (Art. 13(1)). The annexes (Art. 14, Annexes II–VI) are screened when an ingredient list is on the listing; otherwise that screen waits on the file.
What comes back
The listing screen, free, without an email address. The two rows a listing can answer, and a note for the work that lives in the file. Where an ingredient list was found: how many names resolved, how many did not, and which resolved substances carry an Annex II entry — reported as listed in Annex II — needs a person's review, never as a verdict.
The claims read and the full report, by email. Each sentence of the marketing copy set against the criterion of Reg. (EU) 655/2013 it touches.
We email you the full report. We may write to you once about registering the product. No newsletter, no list, and we delete the report and your address when you ask.
The check never guesses a percentage, a limit or an INCI name to keep moving. An unresolved name is returned unresolved, and every weaker kind of match says which kind it is rather than borrowing the strength of a real one: a match only through a shared CAS number or an alias comes back as matched through a shared CAS/alias — needs a person's confirmation; a name found only inside a longer registry name comes back saying so; and a common name a shop prints instead of the INCI name ("Vitamin C", "Rose water") is answered with the INCI name to use instead, never counted as though the listing had used it.
If the check finds gaps
Most of what the law asks for lives in the product file, not on the listing, so a check on a real product usually ends with a list of what it could not see. You do not have to work that list out alone. If you register the product with us, our user-friendly client portal turns it into a checklist for your product, one document per line with the reason and an upload next to it. If your manufacturer already has the papers, your part takes about an hour. Once the last document is in and the formula is declared, the signed safety report usually follows within 3 working days.
What a first run actually found
The opening run on the PremaNature aloe vera gel, 9 September 2026 — twenty-nine missing documents, three empty formula versions and one claim flagged.
What this check is not
It is not a safety assessment. A safety assessment under Art. 10 and Annex I is a reasoned scientific judgement, signed by a named qualified person. This check is a gap list. Passing it does not make a product legal.
A listing is not a label. The check can only read the page you paste.
It is not legal advice, and it does not tell you what a national authority will do.
It does not screen everything. CMR classification under Art. 15 is run by a person on the file. Fragrance allergen labelling is only checked once the allergen entries have been transcribed and reviewed for your product's material. Where the platform has not loaded a fact, it says so.
What happens to what you send
The listing screen is returned without an email address. The fuller read, including the claims review, is sent by email, so that part asks for one. Retention, hosting location and deletion are in the privacy notice.
Questions people ask
Which of these do I actually need — CPSR, RP, PIF, CPNP, or all four?
For a cosmetic placed on the EU market: all four, and they are connected. The responsible person (Art. 4(1)) holds the file (Art. 11(1)) and makes the submission (Art. 13(1)), and the file has to contain the safety report (Art. 11(2)(b)). The check tells you which of the four are visible on your listing and which are not checkable from one.
I'm already shipping to EU customers — am I in breach right now?
That is a question about your product. The timing is settled: the obligations attach at placing on the market (Art. 2(1)(h)). If a product is on the EU market without a designated responsible person, Art. 4(1) already applies to it. Run the check. What to do about it →
